Khah Writers Association

At the moment, Khah Writers Association is a cultural organization working for the protection, promotion, propagation, and development of Khah language, art, culture, and literature.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of the society are:

• I To work for the preservation, promotion, and development of Khah language, literature, art, culture, and heritage sites.
• II To organize seminars, lectures, poetic symposiums, quizzes, workshops, and conferences.
• III To collaborate with writers, poets, scholars, societies, and institutions for the protection, promotion, and propagation of Khah language.
• IV To provide ample opportunities to talented and budding youths, poets, writers, singers to excel in poetry, prose writing, scriptwriting, stage acting, singing, and playing various folk musical instruments.
• V To develop organizational and leadership qualities among young theatre students through theatre activities to create good citizens of tomorrow.
• VI We are committed to preserving our tradition and culture and aim to serve society through stage, radio, and television.
• VII To glorify, spread, pay utmost respect to, and promote the mother tongue KHAH in every nook and corner of the world.
• VIII To undertake all activities deemed fit by the society from time to time.
• IX To help in the eradication of social evils for the betterment of society.
• X To establish and maintain educational institutions, KHAH Heritage Centres, museums, libraries, and literary clubs.
• XI To advocate for the inclusion of KHAH speakers in the 4% Pahari Speaking People, ST status, and other benefits at par with other tribals of India.
• XII To encourage and provide financial assistance to deserving writers and poets registered with the society, and to give awards and certificates for their contributions to KHAH language, literature, and art.
• XIII To strive for the introduction of KHAH Language up to 5th class as per Article 350A of the Constitution of India and NEP 2020 policy.
• XIV To assist poor and deserving people in times of need.
• XV To coordinate with other societies in helping the poor, downtrodden, and destitute in times of need.
